Added support for playback of videos hosted on Google Drive [New Feature] [Platform]: Previously, Google Drive videos could not be imported into PlusPlus as “Video” content items. This is now easy as a, b, c. Really!
a) Head to Google Drive and make the video file shareable.
b) Click on the context-menu (kebab in the top-right corner) and click on "Open in new window".
c) Copy the URL of the resulting page and paste it to the video form’s URL field.
With that addition, we’ve also made sure to extend our support for Google Drive videos in articles, either by pasting its URL directly into the article's text, or by using the video embed option under the attachment menu.
Special Attention
Removal of Additional Locations [Deprecation Warning] [Platform]: As previously warned in our release notes, additional locations have been removed from the platform.
Minor Improvements
Duplicate Live-stream link when duplicating events and sessions [Improvement] [Platform]: Now all live-stream links, except for Google Meet ones, will be copied over when duplicating events and sessions.
Added “sort by mentees” in the mentorship page in addition to sorting by mentors [Improvement] [Mentorship]: We’ve extended the filters in the mentorship page by adding a sort by mentees option. The new sorting options include: name, title, department, and location.
Added “sort by interest” to the mentorship page [Improvement] [Mentorship]: Users, both mentors and mentees, can now be sorted by interest. This means users marked as “Actively Looking” (mentees) and “Open” (mentors) will show up first.
Description and due date are now available tags in the content assignment notifications [Improvement] [Platform]: Admins may now use the tags {{ content_description }} and {{ due_date }} when customizing content assignment notifications.
ICS support for Sessions [Improvement] [Sessions]: We already supported ICS for our events. Now, sessions are also included in the bundle.
Performance optimizations on events, content items, and users [Improvement] [Platform]
Content Item assignments on automated rules [Improvement] [People]: Content Item assignments are now available as assignment options in our automated rules framework.
Bug Fixes
Fixed a bug that was allowing forms to be saved with an empty description. [Platform]
Fixed a bug that caused self-assigned content to disappear from rosters. [Platform]
Fixed a bug in our Analytics page, under Track Assignments, that was showing the wrong amount of completed assignments. [Platform]
Fixed a bug that made the “next” arrow appear at the end of catalog carousels that did not contain any more content. [Platform]
