Flashcards are now available (currently for Video & Event Series only) as a new way to transform content transcripts and summaries into interactive study tools. This feature automatically generates a set of questions and answers from the content, enabling viewers to reinforce their understanding through practice and self-assessment.
Enabling Flashcards
As this feature is optional, enable Flashcards in global settings, which toggles it on system wide - please reach out to the PlusPlus support team for assistance on this
Once enabled globally, you'll need to click the 3 dots to edit the content item
Browse to the GenAI Features in the left pane and, in the right window, click Generate to both enable Flashcards and generate questions and answers - the Display Flashcard button automatically self-enables with clicking Generate.
If you don't want specific content to have flashcards, you can disable them from being displayed by toggling off Display Flashcards
By default, the system produces five question-and-answer pairs which can be edited, deleted, or you can create your own - the only limit is a maximum of 5 questions and answers
Prior to taking the actions above, on the content item's landing page, only the Summary will be displayed as shown here
Once Flashcards are enabled, by clicking the Generate button, they will then display below the Summary on the content item landing page
Generating Flashcards note
Ensure the content item's description is populated or you may see an error when trying to Generate flashcards

Interacting
Each flashcard displays a question. Clicking it flips the card with an animation to reveal the answer.
Users can flip back to the question at any time.
Navigation controls allow moving forward and backward through the flashcard set.
Self-Assessment Features
Users can mark each flashcard as Correct or Incorrect based on their response.
After completing all cards, a Finish option appears to calculate results.
The scoring system works as follows:
70% or higher = Pass
Below 70% = Fail (“Keep practicing” message)
Users can retry the flashcards multiple times to reinforce knowledge.
Benefits
Active Learning: Promotes knowledge retention by transforming passive viewing into active recall.
Instant Feedback: Learners immediately see results and can track their progress.
Reusability: Flashcards can be revisited anytime, allowing continuous practice.
Engagement: Interactive elements (flipping, marking, scoring) make learning more dynamic.
Conclusion
The new flashcards feature takes learning a step further, giving learners a practical, interactive way to test their knowledge. With automatic generation from transcripts, simple toggles for display, and built-in scoring, flashcards make self-assessment effortless and engaging.
