With Slack integration enabled in your instance, the platform automatically suggests and provision new Slack channels when you schedule your tracks and add new enrollees to those channels.

The Slack channel is created when scheduling a new track. Please note that this feature is only for scheduled tracks, not for regular tracks.

When a user enrolls into a track, they are automatically added to the Slack channel as well as the creator and all facilitators will also get added. Note, new hire Slack users may have to be manually added to the Slack channel if their accounts were not yet fully provisioned and fail to be added upon Schedule Track publication.

Please ensure to review all notifications in your Scheduled Track and enable the relevant Slack toggles, all enabled by default, however, defaults can be changed at higher levels and cascade down to child content settings.

For this feature to work, we now require a slightly expanded set of Slack permission scopes, In particular, an admin needs to disconnect and reconnect Slack again:

  • Go to System Settings - Integrations - Slack

  • Click on "Disconnect"

  • Click on "Connect" again

  • Approve our app

As a reminder, to gain access to Scheduled Tracks, ask your admin to enable it via Settings > Feature Management.
