Past Events are no longer perishable. Upload a native recording directly to an Event or Event Series, clearly surface it for learners, and track engagement, all without creating duplicate video artifacts or disrupting assignment logic.

What to expect
After saving, the uploaded recording will continue to appear in the Recording section on the edit page.

You may see a Title field on the uploaded recording — currently this is a placeholder that will be implemented very soon.
Recordings don’t affect enrollments or assignments
Watching an Event (or Event Series) recording does not enroll anyone and does not count as completion for any related assignments.
Events: This usually isn’t an issue since recordings are typically uploaded after the event happens.
Event Series: It’s important to note that Recordings and Assignments/Enrollments are not connected — even if a recording is uploaded before the series starts (for example, as a teaser/trailer).
Tip: Use recordings as a resource to share, but if you need enrollment or completion tracking, you’ll still want to manage that through the event/series setup (not the recording).
Filtering events for recordings
Easily find events and with recorded videos. From the Events dashboard, go to filters and add Has Recording, and choose an option for Either, No, or Yes
Troubleshooting
If the recording upload option isn’t showing:
Confirm with support MUX video integration in enabled
Refresh the page and reopen the Event/Event Series edit screen.
If a larger video takes a while:
That’s expected—give the upload time to finish, then click Save to confirm the update.
