Scenario
As an admin or content owner, you want to know how to archive unneeded content, how to restore archived content, and how archiving/restoring impacts content dependencies.
Solution
Archive content
Go to the content item you want to archive.
Open the context menu (button with three dots).
Select Archive.
For events and event types, the Cancel option functions the same way as archiving other content.
What happens to archived content?
Archived content no longer appears in the Catalog for regular users in your org, but its historical assignment data remains intact. You can also filter by archived content in the Catalog so you can still access it for reference purposes, or to restore or delete it.
Canceled events and calendar updates
Canceling an event or event type doesn't automatically remove existing calendar entries for the events. To remove canceled events from calendars, cancel them manually in the calendar.
Restore archived content
Go to the archived content item you want to restore.
Open the context menu (button with three dots).
Select Restore.
This restores content to the Catalog so that regular users can access it again.
Delete content
You have the option to delete a content item only after it is archived.
Before doing this, keep in mind that deleting a content item also deletes all its historical assignment data, and you can not restore a deleted content item.
Go to the content item you want to delete.
Open the context menu (button with three dots).
Select Delete.
