Scenario
As an admin or content owner, you want to provide a small group context for experts in your org to discuss a general topic. You want this offering to be discoverable in PlusPlus and for team members to book sessions to discuss specific ideas within the general topic.
Solution
Open the profile menu in the upper right and select Add Office Hour Series to open the creation form.
Or, to edit an existing office hour series, select it in the Catalog, open the context menu (button with three dots), and select Edit.
The New office hour series page opens. An office hour series works both as a template (a set of defaults) for scheduling sessions and as a collection of all past and upcoming sessions derived from it.
Complete each section of the form, then select Publish.
Channel
Choose the Channel this office hour series belongs to. The default channel is initially selected, but other channels will be available if access allows.
Optionally, expand Channels Sharing to share the series with additional channels. The series retains its ownership and permissions from its original channel.
Details
Enter the main details for your office hour series:
Title (required) — the name of the series as it appears in the Catalog.
Cover — an optional cover image (JPG, PNG, or GIF; max 2 MB; minimum 640×360px; 16:9 aspect ratio). A placeholder is used by default if no image is uploaded.
Description — describe the general topic or purpose of the series so team members know what to expect when they book a session.
General Settings
Expected Duration (H:MM) — the length of each session. We recommend ~15 minutes, as office hours are designed for quick, targeted help on an issue.
Session Discussion Topics — an optional comma-separated list of topics that hosts can select from when scheduling individual office hours.
Categories — assign the series to one or more categories to aid discoverability.
People
Select Office Hour Series manager(s) who can edit office hour series details, assign hosts, and create, edit, or delete sessions for this office hour series.
Booking Capacity
Set the Session Cap — the maximum number of attendees per individual office hour. We recommend keeping this low to ensure targeted, small-group discussions.
To only allow 1-on-1 sessions, set the session cap to 1.
Access Control
Configure visibility and privacy for the series and its sessions:
Access Control Preference — controls whether the series is visible within its channel (defaults to the channel's visibility setting).
Assignments List is Private — when enabled, only admins, maintainers, and assignees can see who is assigned to this series.
Sessions are Private on Google Calendar — when enabled, individual office hours appear as private calendar events, visible only to enrolled attendees.

Cancellation
Configure the cancellation policy for office hours in this series, including any deadlines for attendees to cancel their booking.
When you are done, select Publish. The office hour series is then discoverable in the Catalog.
The next step is to schedule office hours based on the office hour series you created. Team members will then be able to book the office hours you make available.
