Scenario

As an admin or content owner, you want team members to be able to book sessions with experts within a peer program.

Solution

Sessions are based on programs, so if you don't have a program yet to schedule a session for, learn how to create a peer program.

  1. Access the peer program you want to schedule a session for.

  2. Open the context menu (button with three dots) and select Schedule session.

  3. Select a Mentor for the session.
The mentor or coach is set at the peer program level, but you can adjust that for individual sessions here.

  4. Optionally, set a Mentee for the session.
Setting a mentee invites that person to the session and allows you to ensure scheduling a 1-on-1 session (rather than leaving it open to multiple attendees).

  5. Select a Location for the session.
The system calculates local time at other locations for online sessions.

  6. Enter a Date, Time, and Duration for the session.
โ€‹Go deeper for recommendations on duration.

  7. Optionally, update the Enrollment settings for the session, including configuring whether the session is in person, online, or available in both formats.

  8. Publish the session.

The session is discoverable in the Catalog and team members can book it.
We recommend bulk duplicating sessions. Go deeper on why.

Setting session duration

Peer program sessions are designed to foster long-term enablement relationships with a coach or mentor, so giving at least 30 minutes can help create the relational space for that. When you set the Estimated Duration for a peer program, you are telling team members how much time you expect to give to a single discussion. When you set the Duration for a session, you are providing a window in which people can have these discussions.

Bulk duplicating sessions

We recommend bulk duplicating sessions so that you can schedule them on a regular basis and allow long-term enablement relationships to deepen and grow.

What if no one books my session?

If no one books a scheduled peer program session, the system automatically removes the session from the mentor's calendar.
